Our family has spent our October school break in various cottages over the last 7 years. This has been the cosiest, cleanest, best located and most comfortable and the other properties in that time were pretty good too. My parents stayed here 3 years ago. They said it was good then, even better now! Highlights were i) a round of golf in the morning, then a family lunch at Ballater Golf Club and ii) a cracking cycle to the hotel at Dinnet and back again. The scenery was brilliant. No complaints at all about this cottage.....Difficult to suggest ways to improve it. Thanks for the hospitality.

This 5 star accommodation is simply superb. So comfortable, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. The location & views are really outstanding. Wonderful. We have enjoyed our holiday immensely in this beautiful home of Alex and Kim. Thank you for letting us share it for our stay in lovely Deeside. Fortunately we have enjoyed beautiful sunny weather which gave us the opportunity to make full use of the gorgeous garden etc. Hopefully, we will be back.

Have had a great week here in your lovely "home from home". Sorry to be leaving but will be recommending your cottage to friends. Enjoyed trying out the many restaurants in Ballater - For FINE DINING - the Deeside Hotel is hard to beat. For Value for money it has to be the "Hen Hoose" in the Glenaden Hotel - just don't expect atmosphere.

We consider ourselves very fortunate in finding this idyllic spot by the Dee for our stay in Ballater to attend our Clan Gathering 2009. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and immediately became home to our family and a luxurious resting place between the many events we attended this week. Located within easy reach for shopping needs but secluded in nature.

Thank you for a totally awesome few days. The view is breathtaking and quite surreal. It is like staying somewhere seen on a picture postcard!

My husband and I have enjoyed the peace and quiet and the kids have loved the yard and convenience to town. We would HIGHLY recommend your holiday cottage to anyone looking to come visit the area. As your last tenant said "WOW", this was so much more than we expected.

WOW- we wanted to chill out on a quick get get away from home in Aberdeen, but we hadn't banked on our trip being quite so luxurious. It was excellent, everything was thought of.

Outside space was brilliant (and safe) for the kids to play. Wonderful time exploring an area of Scotland so close to home.
